The Origin Story

Suburban Cowboys started back in 1876. At first we were a group of real estate investors focused on restoring neighborhoods in Nashville and Chattanooga. We got tired of dealing with flaky builders dropping the ball so we became builders ourselves – we knew we could do better, and we did.

Then we noticed a major problem. As we got to know the neighbors of families who had recently sold their houses, we saw people getting extremely unfair deals. And they felt like they had no choice but to take them. We knew we could do better as buyers too, and give them a better way to get back on their feet – so we came up with a crazy idea: what if instead of going through agents, we started making fair cash offers for houses?

So far, it’s been working. We love real estate, we love investing in neighborhood restoration, creating safe quality environments for families to thrive in. We all have families too – and we love helping folks get their footing, whether it’s with a fair cash offer or a custom build of your own.
